Abbottabad to Battagram is around 291 Kilometers away from Pakistan’s divisional headquarters. The most popular places near Battagram that visitors love include areas like the Saiful Maluk National Park, Top Thandiani, Valley of Allai, Sukai Sar, and Khapero Lake. 

Battagram district could be accessed by air, bus, car, and train transportation. Hence, all means of transportation could be used to reach the district. By air, once you have reached Peshawar or Islamabad, it would take just 3-4 hours to reach Battagram by car or taxi. 

The roads are well built in the district so that road transportation can easily move on. There is no direct train that goes to Battagram, but you can reach the adjusting areas.

Those who want to visit Allai town should rent a jeep to Shamsher village for the trekking experience. From here, it takes one day to reach the base camp at the Sukai Sar. Traveling up to the mountain would take two to three days. 

Battagram's Pre-Colonial Past

In 1993, the Battagram became a separate district from the Mansehra district. In 1994, the Peshawar High Court declared Battagram as a session division. Due to this, the high court was established within the district, streamlining the legal system. By 2018, a proper judiciary system had been operational in Battagram. Currently, numerous courts are functional in the Battagram district. 

Battagram district has the facility of police stations implanted in several areas, namely Chanjal, Kuza Banda, Shamlai, Banna Allai, Pazang Allai, and Battagram. Hydropower at Battagram plays a vital role in the providence of energy infrastructure.
