Every year, we Pakistani’s celebrate undying patriotism, preserving our sovereignty, and the love for our country, Pakistan, in remembrance of the war of 1965. The echoes of brave steps and solutions taken by our heroes on borders are supposed to keep reminding us of moving symbol of the country’s tenacity, and sacrifices leading to development of the country’s investments in economic upgrades lead to investments in real estates

Honoring Pakistan's Defenders: Defence Day 2023

The Pakistan army’s extraordinary efforts, sacrifices, and unconditional acts are always in its nation’s heart and soul. Pakistan has always kept its courageous troop’s defence as the priority. We as a nation oblige to their sacrifices along with the authorities, be it private, commercial, or public sector.

Well, how do we celebrate the Defense Day?

We celebrate Defense Day with great zeal, love, and enthusiasm. Events include parades, flag-raising ceremonies, and different activities across the country’.

We show our love and patriotism beyond conditions, safeguard our present future, and appreciate their efforts provided in the past.

Pakistan Defence Day: Echoes of Bravery Resound

The 1965 Indo-Pak War is a historical event that marked our history, defining our strengths. It has significantly highlighted some facts about territorial conflicts and political unrest that have prevailed in the region after independence since August 14, 1947.

Primarily, the cause has been Kashmir; other than this, both countries have outgrown their militaries in technological advancements, leading to being widely strong in their capacity yet a threat and challenge to the peace of the subcontinent.

Finally, the Tashkent Agreement sought to bring the violating conflicts to an end. Hence, the situation stopped and normalized with the ceasefire and diplomatic negotiations that characterized the war. It was signed in 1966 after the horrific events of bloodshed and historical sacrifices.

Saluting Heroes: Pakistan Defence Day 2023

We Pakistanis bravely stand by our savors, protectors, and preservers of sovereignty, and steadfast dedication in safeguarding the borders and country at large from the geopolitical transgressions occurring within the continent, and the need for long-term peace, and security to be underlined with today’s modern initiatives and emphasis on future homeland defense.

Defense Day is celebrated to honor, pay respect, and show gratitude to our border protectors and civilians or general labor. Be it from any field like medical, engineering, and territory sector professionals.

Let us pay homage to the country’s great heroes on September 6.

Flight Lieutenant Imtiaz Ahmad Bhatti & Squadron Leader Sarfaraz Ahmad Rafiqui

The valour of two courageous men on September 1, 1965, against the Indian Army lifted the country’s pride to a high level. They caught the enemy while attacking the Chamb area, stopped him, and intervened. Even though they were outnumbered, they did not fear the hardships. They destroyed four Indian Vampire fighters. They displayed courage and set an example of bravery with the help of F-86 Sabers such that not a single vampire came to fight them for the rest of the war.

Flight Lieutenant Imtiaz Ahmad Bhatti bagged Sitara-i-Juraat for his aimful efforts and courage to fight firmly against the enemy. Rafiqui, on the other hand, maintained his shield despite the technicalities of his weapons and didn’t give up. He fully supported his fellow partner. He has been honored with Sitara-i-Jurat and Hilal-i-Jurat.

Air Marshal Malik Nur Khan

Air Marshal Malik Nur Khan, another shining star and founding Father of PAF, of the iconic gallery of Pakistan’s list of never-ending heroes, has innumerable titles to carry and be proud of.

His list of honorable titles received is Hilal-i-Jurat, Sitara-i-Quaid-e-Azam and Sitara-i-Pakistan. 

He was honored by The King of Jordan Order of Istiqlal (Second Class).

Muhammad Mahmood Alam

M.M. Alam reminds us of the war of 1965 as he did world record by downing five Indian aircraft and received recognition as Pakistan’s top-scoring fighter. Later, he was awarded Sitara-i-Jurat. He shot these enemy firefighters within an instance, just five minutes.

Women's Participation in Pakistan's Defence Day 1965

Pakistan has dedicatedly contributed to gender equality and inclusivity to the women’s contribution to all the professions or fields of life. Even though the women of Pakistan are part of a non-combating profession of the military. Serving the country to the next level, being part of medics, engineers, pilots, and intelligence.

The women of Pakistan are equally working and contributing in all fields. They have always been next to men of the country to serve the essential values and contributions.

Even in the corporate sector, women have taken responsibility, showing their efforts, dedication, and patriotism towards the economic development of the country along with their male counterparts.
